“I got Inito fairly early in my TTC journey after just one month, because my PCP recommended that I get a more detailed hormone tracker due to having PCOS.”
Understanding TTC With PCOS
Having PCOS, you know that trying to conceive often comes with more questions than answers. Cycles aren’t always regular, ovulation doesn’t follow a predictable schedule, and standard advice doesn’t always apply.
That uncertainty was something I felt early on in my trying-to-conceive (TTC) journey. I knew from the start that my hormones didn’t follow a predictable pattern, and I wanted a way to understand what my body was actually doing rather than relying on guesswork.
That realization is what led me to start looking for more clarity early on.
Why I Chose to Track Hormones Early
I got Inito fairly early in my TTC journey, after just one month, because my primary care provider recommended that I use a more detailed hormone tracker due to my PCOS. She explained that traditional ovulation predictor kits often aren’t accurate for people with PCOS, especially when ovulation isn’t routine or predictable.
Around the same time, I had come across Inito through social media and decided to look into it further. With my doctor also reinforcing the need for more precise tracking, starting Inito felt like the right choice.
Testing what worked for my PCOS cycle: Ovulation Strips vs. Inito
At first, I wasn’t as consistent with using Inito as I should have been. But about three months into TTC, I started using it more intentionally and that’s when things began to shift.
During my first month of trying, I relied on inexpensive ovulation sticks. Even after getting Inito, I continued using those sticks alongside it, just to compare.
The difference was clear.
The ovulation sticks were often off and inconsistent, while Inito felt far more precise. Instead of vague positives or confusing results, I could actually see what my hormones were doing and understand how my cycle was unfolding.
Inito made my cycle feel easier to track and far more accurate. For the first time, I felt confident about when my most fertile days truly were.
Why Precision Matters When You Have PCOS
Because of my PCOS, I already knew that my ovulation schedule wasn’t routine or predictable. I wanted something that could give me more clarity, not just assumptions based on average cycles.
Inito helped me track when my period was likely coming and better identify my fertile window. I also chose to test on additional days, both earlier in my cycle and after ovulation was confirmed so I could see how my hormone trends changed throughout my cycle. That extra insight helped me feel more confident about what was happening in my cycle.
Looking Back on My TTC Journey
Looking back, I’m really glad I decided to use Inito more intentionally. I got pregnant in cycle five, and having clearer hormone information made the TTC process feel more manageable and less stressful. I plan to use Inito again in the future, especially knowing how helpful it was for understanding my hormones with PCOS.
